Yes, you read right! We are accepting the European Youth Card (EYCA) to offer special discounts.

For Malta, this offers a wide range of discounts to youth and students from all European countries. Click here to find out about the discounts you can receive!

Dancers who are also still studying or maybe are still working their way up the career ladder will need any help they can get.

The European Youth Card is all about giving everyone the opportunity to do more so they can reach their full potential.

With the EYCA, you can travel across Europe, meet different people and make many friends. It also gives you great opportunities to learn new things and kick-start or boost your career. The card gives you the opportunity to make a real change in your community and become a well-informed and active citizen that shapes society.

How does the EYCA work?

The EYCA offers tens of thousands of discounts on travel, culture, accommodation, education, services and products in 36 countries across Europe.

What’s more, in every country there are hundreds of programmes and opportunities for volunteering, learning, employment, entrepreneurship and many exciting activities.

Wherever you are in Europe, whatever the card is called, as long as the European Youth Card logo is on the card you can access all the thousands of opportunities in all 36 countries. If your country does not offer the card, you will still be able to get the card and use it when travelling to one of the member countries.

The card is issued and managed by organisations that are members of the European Youth Card Association (EYCA). Agenzija Zghazagh, the Maltese member of the EYCA, has signed us up for this exciting iniative.

We are delighted to participate in the EYCA initiative. We are even more delighted to participate in an initiative that opens doors to young people – dancers in particular! For the moment, we are offering discounts on items such as sneakers, jazz shoes and ballet shoes.

Note that for uniforms of dance schools (as opposed to free wear), this discount will not be available.

Summer is over and we are all preparing for the new term.  So what’s up with us?

The Ballet Shop has been busy reorganising some of its stocks and setting up some discounts that might be of interest before the hols end – for that, look at our Bargains Corner.  We keep this section alive and make changes from time to time, adding new dance wear or shoes that have reached end of line or that we’d like to offer at a discount.  This includes dance sneakers, pointe shoes, certain leotards and so on.  We’ve also stocked a Sansha tutu in black, if you’re interested

 

We’re also looking at new offers in dancewear to give to you – combinations of dancewear set up as a single product and priced competitively so as to be affordable.

It looks like theatres worldwide are set to open up again as normal so we would be delighted to hear what shows you are looking to visit.  We are excited to see what’s on the calendars at theatres across Malta this season and look forward to seeing some of our lovely dancewear worn on stage.
